NOV. 3, 2018 | U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans, a Pennsylvania Democrat pictured above, told the crew Saturday during a health care rally near Independence Hall that his state would be ground zero in his party’s effort to take back the U.S. House. Democrats here are expected to pick up three to five House seats of the 23 they need to regain control. Also attending the rally were U.S. Sens. Bob Casey, also of Pennsylvania and running for reelection, and Dick Durbin, the Illinois Democrat who is second in the Senate hierarchy on his side of the aisle.
As campaigning across the country hit new levels of frenzy in the field and on television, voters seemed anxious about what would happen on Election Day, now just three days away. Some voters told us Saturday that they wanted Democrats to take back the Congress, while others during the trip wanted the GOP to maintain control.
After the rally, the crew interviewed folks outside the Reading Terminal Market and visited the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art made famous in the movie “Rocky.”
