OCT. 26, 2018 | After a tour of the Kaehler family cattle farm near St. Charles, Minn., the crew headed to view a livestock auction in nearby Lanesboro. A hearty breakfast at the Lanesboro Sales Commissionauction house preceded sheep and cattle being put to an auction attended by more than two dozen area farmers.
As in western Minnesota, many agribusinessmen in the southeastern part of the state were willing to give President Donald Trump a chance to win a trade war with China, despite their businesses being in a slump.
Following lunch at Brewski’s Bar & Grill in rural Utica, Minn., the team headed south to Iowa to be ready first thing Saturday for a fall market.
